Trainings in evaluation

In the view of the 2007-2013 Structural Funds programming period ECORYS has developed offer of trainings aimed at broadening and consolidation of knowledge of participants on what evaluation is, how it should be programmed and conducted, as well as – in case of evaluation services clients – what standards and requirements should be applied when it comes to cooperation with contractors.

Persons responsible for designing, conducting and organising the evaluation process, as well as analysing and interpreting of evaluation results in:

Territorial self-government units,
central administration

NGOs
private entities.

Scope of Trainings

Training programmes are developed individually, basing on a detailed analysis of the beneficiaries’ needs. Special attention is given to the level of their knowledge, occupation and previous experience in monitoring and evaluation. In particular, the following topics could be covered within trainings:

Aims and origin of evaluations;
Guidelines for conducting evaluation over 2007-2013 programming period;
Development of evaluation plans;
Design of evaluation research, including research methodology,
Practical relations between monitoring and evaluation,
Practical aspects of evaluation of operational programmes and their priorities,
Organisation of the evaluation process, including:
- Preparation of plans for evaluation of operational programmes for years 2007 -2013,
- Creation of terms of references,
- Selection of evaluation proposals,
- Cooperation with evaluator and assessment of evaluation report,
- Dissemination of evaluation results.

Form of Training

Training programme is adjusted to the needs of individual recipients, therefore the trainings are conducted in a form of continuous, a few days lasting training sessions or can be spread in time. Trainings could take place at the ECORYS office in Warsaw or at the office (town) of the client.
